A citywide celebration of Independence Day Saturday includes fireworks, patriotic music, a children’s parade, veterans’ tribute and the annual parade down Main Street.
Local youngsters will begin the patriotic celebration Saturday at 8 a.m. during the annual children’s parade and costume contest at Marktplatz.
The larger scale Independence Day parade down Main Street is set to step off from the courthouse square toward the Nimitz Museum around 10 a.m.
“Our Wounded Warriors” will serve as grand marshals for the 2009 parade and patriotic program.
